Sanday Mini Triathlon 2007

One of the Sanday Sunday events

August 19th

A brand new event for 2007, is our Mini Triathlon. We have fun classes for complete novices, right up to the more serious participant level. There is no registration fee and entry to all classes is free. All participants will receive a certificate.

The event centre is the Sanday Community School. All participants please be present at 11:30am, for a 12:00 noon start.

Please note that entry is at the participant's own risk.

The Mini Triathlon consists of three events: running, cycling, and swimming. All cyclists must wear helmets, please.

Swimming events will take place in the Community Swimming Pool, at the venue. The pool length is 15m. All Cycling events will be on public roads. Sanday roads are very quiet but the usual care must be taken please. Participants will not be permitted to cycle without a helmet. SPRINT class runners will run on public road. All other runners will circuit the school playing field.

Registration

Registration before Saturday 18th August, please. Any late entries wishing to register on the day must do so by 10:00am in person at the school.

Craft Exhibition

Also on the 19th is the Sanday Craft Exhibition. Rest and refresh yourself with one of our fine teas, and admire some of the intricate work on display in the Community Hall at the School. 2pm - 4pm. There will be live demonstrations of crafts, including a demonstration of wool spinning throughout the afternoon.
